Hello, I have question about over-time pay. On Nov 22nd, Since it was before Thanksgiving day our company decide to do half-day for office employees but still pay theme full-day pay.And some of employees decided to come little early or stay little later then half day.In this case do we need to pay over-time pay for employees who stayed or came early?

The FLSA says we only have to pay overtime for actual hours worked. https://www.dol.gov/general/topic/wages/overtimepay

So, the hours worked early and late are subject to overtime. If the workers did not take advantage of your free half day and actually worked the entire day or part of the time allowed off, they would be due overtime for any hours worked over 40 that week. If you are in California or Alaska let me know. Because that will change the picture a bit.

Overtime is not due for the paid time off that was not actually worked.
