Generally, prevailing wages are required to be paid on HUD assisted projects. However, there are exceptions to this general rule. Article 8 does not apply on projects assisted by HUD under the U.S. Housing Act of 1937 when the New York State prevailingwage is greater than the prevailing wage established by HUD.
