Some employers view written workplace policies and procedures as a noisy hindrance to their freedom as business owners. I have actually had people across the country tell me they refuse to follow a book that bosses them around. But, the thing is, those same employers have a tendency to treat employees differently in same or similar circumstances. That's inconsistency and it KILLS!
